Why Children and Youth Leadership Matter?

I am passionate about children and youth leadership because I believe in the power of young minds to shape a brighter future. The energy, creativity, and resilience of our youth hold the key to solving some of our most pressing challenges. With the right guidance, they can become leaders who drive meaningful change and innovation.

Two promising initiatives contributing to Pakistan's development

With a vibrant, youthful population, we’re launching two game-changing initiatives to empower children and youth as the leaders of today!

01.

Global Exchange, Local Empowerment : A Child-Focused Intervention Nurturing Young Leaders

Pakistan has 107.7 million individuals under the age of 18, including 71 million children aged 5 to 16, with 36% (25.3 million) of them out of school. It is estimated that Pakistan has over 12 million children who are victims of child labour.

I conceptualized and launched Global Exchange, Local Empowerment: A Child-Focused Intervention Nurturing Young Leaders. In partnership with Little Leaders International (LLI), through this initiative I mentor Pakistani students studying abroad, inspiring them to give back to their communities. These students share their knowledge, skills, and experiences with marginalized children, empowering them to learn from their peers, build confidence, and develop leadership skills. We believe that children are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but leaders today.

The initiative fosters cross-cultural connections, creates learning opportunities, and encourages strategic engagement. Its goal is to raise global awareness and garner support for children facing adversity, ultimately improving their lives and communities. Together, we can shift the narrative from victimhood to leadership.

02.

Bridge4Harmony : A joint initiative of House of Pakistan, San Diego, CA and the Pakistan Film Producers Association, Lahore, Pakistan.

The influential figures like Tasneem Rehmani, Shahzad Rafique, and Dr. Rubina Feroze Bhatti envisioned this initiative to strengthen the bond between the Pakistani Diaspora and the youth of Pakistan, in line with the sister-state relationship between California and Punjab. Bridge4Harmony is a dynamic program aimed at empowering youth in both Pakistan and the USA, promoting cultural exchange and interfaith understanding. This collaboration between the House of Pakistan in San Diego and the Pakistan Film Producers Association provides a platform for young leaders to connect, learn, and collaborate across cultural and religious boundaries.

Through initiatives like webinars, digital exhibitions, and leadership workshops, we aim to foster understanding, empathy, and peace, while encouraging young people to take an active role in shaping a more harmonious future. Let the youth take the lead!
