Impactful Leadership
Crucial interventions
Every exchange and each experience enabled my journey, equipping me to advance change and inspire others to pursue their dreams. Explore some imperative steps here and discover how they led others to provide Insights into My Leadership Initiatives
01.
Building Inclusive Communities: My projects focused on building inclusive spaces, where the participants were welcomed without any discrimination, and had access to support, resources, and were given ownership.
I founded the Taangh Wasaib Organization (TWO) and led various impactful initiatives to support marginalized communities. I established schools for children from the families and vulnerable groups such as brick kiln workers and weavers. I introduced human rights education in over 200 schools, promoting empathy and empowerment. By providing training, counseling, and legal aid, my project created a robust support system for reporting violence against women and providing support to the victims of violence. My work enabled empowerment of women as decision-makers and change agents in their communities through leadership and inclusive business income programs.
I conceptualized and wrote the script for TWO’s documentary films and theater productions on human rights, including Shackle Yet to Open at the 2011 South Asian Alliance for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Film Festival. TWO also produced Aurat Katha (Story of Woman) audio CD, focusing on women’s issues. During times of crisis, I implemented disaster relief efforts, directly assisting thousands of families affected by the floods. Besides organizing annual sports competitions, volunteers’ conventions and music events, to engage communities and raise awareness about violence against women, I organized 16 days of Activism campaign for consecutive 8 years in collaboration with nonprofits, academia and district government.
02.
Nurturing Children’s Leadership: I am passionate about nurturing leadership among children by advocating for high-quality education for all children, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, ensuring that every child can learn, grow, and transform into a leader.
At National Commission on the Rights of Child, I conceptualized and anchored online webinars on child rights and represented the commission on electronic media, including television and radio.
I established the Minority Children Leadership Delegation (MCLD-Pakistan), where I engaged children in developing their own Charter of Demand.I coordinated efforts with key leaders such as the Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights, members of National Assembly and Senate of Pakistan for arranging MCLD meetings with then Chairman of the Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani and then National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and the Governor of Punjab, Muhammad Balighur Rahman.
This collaborative effort led to the first-ever visit of a minority children’s delegation to the parliament, where they successfully presented their demands. Their advocacy contributed to the passage of the Christian Marriage (Amendment) Act, 2024, raising the minimum marriage age for Christians to 18 years and ensuring the law aligns with modern human rights standards.

03.
Empowering Women: I lead dynamic workshops and training sessions that evoke passion and unleash potential among women, equipping them with the tools to improve their quality of life and cultivate their leadership.
I conceptualized and led an initiative to enhance the visibility of Christian women leaders with the newly established nonprofit, LGF- Pakistan. I played a pivotal role in strengthening its capacity to collaborate with the Punjab government, leading to the organization of the first-ever Christian Women Leadership Conference at the Governor’s House in Punjab, where the leadership of Christian women was formally recognized. Simultaneously, I worked with LGF- Pakistan to raise the profile of women belonging to Christian minority in the media through a series of television appearances featuring successful Christian women leaders.

As a result, the Executive Director of LGF was appointed as the focal person for CSOs and became the primary liaison for civil society engagement with the Minister of Human Rights and Minority Affairs in Punjab. Additionally, award recipient Sister Zeph went on to win the prestigious Global Teacher Prize 2023.
